經文: 路加福音 15章11-32節
11 耶穌又說：「某人有兩個兒子。
12 小兒子對父親說：『父親，請把我應得的那份產業給我』父親就把財產分給兩個兒子。
13 「沒多久，小兒子就把他的一切變賣，到遠方去了他在那裏生活放蕩，揮霍錢財。
14 他耗盡了自己的一切，那地方又鬧起大饑荒，他就陷入困境。
15 他去投靠當地的一個居民，那人派他到田裏去餵豬。
16 他恨不得拿豬吃的豆莢來充飢，這也沒有人給他。
17 「他醒悟過來，說：『我父親有那麼多雇工，他們都有充足的糧食，我卻要在這裏餓死嗎？
18 我要起來，到我父親那裏去，對他說：父親，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，
19 我再也不配稱為你的兒子，就讓我作你的一個雇工吧』
20 於是他起來，往自己的父親那裏去「他還在遠處的時候，父親看見他，就動了憐憫的心，跑過去，摟住他的脖子，親吻他。
21 「兒子說：『父親，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，我再也不配稱為你的兒子』
22 「父親卻吩咐僕人說：『快拿最好的袍子來給他穿上，把戒指戴在他手上，把鞋子穿在他腳上，
23 把那頭肥牛犢*牽來宰了，讓我們吃喝慶祝吧。
24 因為我這個兒子是死而復生，失而復得的』他們就開始慶祝。
25 「那時，大兒子正在田裏。他回來的時候，走近家門，聽見音樂和跳舞的聲音，
26 就叫一個僕人來，問他這是怎麼一回事。
27 「僕人對他說：『你弟弟回來了。你父親因為他安然無恙地回來，就宰了那頭肥牛犢』
28 「大兒子就生氣，不肯進去，父親出來勸他。
29 他回答父親說：『你看，這麼多年來，我服侍你，從來沒有違背過你的命令，你卻從來沒有給過我一隻山羊羔，好讓我和朋友一同慶祝。
30 可是你這個兒子跟妓女一起吞噬了你的財產*，他一回來，你就為他宰掉那頭肥牛犢！』
31 「父親對他說：『孩子，你時常和我在一起，我的一切都是你的。
32 但你這個弟弟卻是死而復生，失而復得的，所以我們應該歡樂慶祝」。
